Famous JC Moments: Line Dance Lovelies

Check out this beauty...or should I say beauties that Paula shared!!
This was taken at Pi Phi linedance in 1994. Remember The Moon? Be sure to notice the matching lip gloss and nail polish. Smokin' hot!

Kudos to Dana & Megan

You two bitches are the only ones who have managed to register as guest bloggers.

The rest of you. Step up your game.

Tea with J.C.

I thought you might enjoy a preview of Tea time.

Thanks Tammy for opening up the blog. All of the fun, none of the responsibility. That's what I'm talking about. Can't wait to see everyone and celebrate J.C.'s getting hitched.

Official Wedding Website

I had lost site of the Loader-Wohl Wedding Website. Click this to check out the latest:

Balcony: Don't Cry for Me JC...

The balcony room has gone swiftly. Jen Malin and Kathy Cope will join me & Loader in the here-fore-known-as "Evita" suite.

Email Kenyon or Kristi if you want to lock in a spot... or you can just crash upon arrival. It's a cool kids only roster of babes, so there's not really a "cooler" room.

Kenyon and Kristi are in charge of naming their rooms. I would suggest, however, that they DO run with the DIVA theme. It IS JC's bachelorette after all!

The Roster

I just realized that not everyone knows who is coming. Here's the line up:

  1. JC
  2. me
  3. Kristi
  4. Kenyon
  5. Dana
  6. Paula
  7. Kimbril
  8. Whit
  9. Kathy
  10. Tauritz
  11. Malin
  12. Megan
  13. Rossi

Hotel - Who, How Much, Where, When...

here's the scoop on the rooms. You will be paying me, Kristi or Kenyon (your Rocker Room "Captains") directly. My room has a balcony, but is double the price. I have two spots left ($250 each for Friday and Saturday.) Go ahead and email me if you want to ante up for one of them.

Kristi and Kenyon's rooms, still swank, are less money (if I recall correctly they are more like $190 each.)

We have 3 rooms with 2 queen beds. Which means no one has to sleep outside on a lounge chair. But you can. If you want. For old times sake.

Hugs JC.

Fun with Flickr/OPB: Other People's Bachelorettes

Try to look beyond the shot glass beads at the SWEET shirt this bachelorette is rocking.
Loader, we are SO getting you one of these. But you're on your own to match this manicure.

Nutria Tails... ewwww....

Um, maybe we should steer clear of the riverwalk this year. Those make DC's city bunnies look downright domesticated!

Bach Blog Crossroads

Thanks to Megan for jump starting me back into the blogosphere. God forbid, I had been spending too much time at work WORKING instead of playing online and looking up fun things to do in New Orleans.
Anyway, I am redirecting my efforts away from saving the world (or at least the world for those over age 50) and recommitting myself to party planning and hype.
I'm running low on fun JC pics, so send more my way! JPGS por favor.

www.slacker.com

Forgive my lack of postings. I've been guest blogging this week at www.shAARPsession.com - which is hilarious. I am clearly having way too much fun with the words "stimulus package" and "crabcake primaries"...

N'awlins News: Piles of Trash Don't Lie, New Orleans is Back

Good news (I think!) Reports from the New Orleans Times Picayune (their newspaper of record), piles of trash from this year's Mardi Gras have reached pre-Katrina levels.

Although no one likes disgusting piles of trash, I think we can all celebrate seeing as there were moments over the last few years when we never even knew if we'd be able to go back to the New Orleans we have known and loved.

My New Fave Tauritz Photo...

A nothing to do with New Orleans post...

Ok, so I have a new favorite every week, but this is my new, new fave photo on Jen's Polaroid blog. I can't wait til we can buy them. I just want to wrap myself in this beachy blue and take a nap.

Johnny Law: Closing Down the Gras

they call this "the sweep"...

Travel Booked: Kathy is in!

Kathy Daud Cope will arrive on Friday at 2:21pm!

Malin is in!

And a quick check of the Gmail has me reporting that Jen Malin is officially in and arriving Friday at 1:45pm! Yay!

Flickr is Fun: Spidey on a Smoke Break

Ok, one more just because how can you pass up a photo titled "Spidey on a Smoke Break"... ah only in New Orleans...
So long Fat Tuesday. Welcome to Ash Wednesday.

Super Tuesday Meets New Orleans Flickr Search

Sorry for the posting delay today. I'm in my DC bubble and all cracked out about the elections today. Its nearly 12:30 am and I'm still up waiting for the final returns.

As you can tell from my choice of photos today, I've become an Obama Girl. And tonight I'm quite happy with his performance and the big wins in a majority of states up for grabs. The above photo was culled in my New Orleans photo search on Flickr today. It was made of Katrina debris. Not so subtle political art.

I'll be back to the debauchery and frivolity tomorrow!

Something Blue Dog

I just love the Blue Dog series... and it just so happens there's a special post Katrina exhibit at the NOLA Museum of Art. If anyone's up for it, I'd love to check it out while we are there.

Can someone please win this?

Its HGTV Dream Home giveaway time and this year the house is in Islamorada... and it rocks. Enter to win everyday at http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/dream_home/ so that we can all vacation there. I even promise to chip in to help pay the taxes.

Something New: Lafitte's "If you can't have a good time here, you might want to make reservations at the cemetery up the street."

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop

941 Bourbon St

New Orleans, LA 70116-3120

Has anyone been to this place before? JC found it and it looks super cool. It's the oldest building in the Quarter and one of the few remaining original "French architecture" structures. Steps away from the main action on Bourbon.

As any good Tampa girl, I am obsessed with pirates and legend has it that brothers Pierre and Jean Lafitte used the smithy as a "blind" for their lucrative trade in contraband!

It's entirely lit by candles has regular "piano man" named Johnny Gordon and is supposedly a great mix of locals and visitors. One of the quotes we found on this joint is "If you can't have a good time here, you might want to make reservations at the cemetery up the street."

If that's not a helluva recommendation, I don't know what is...
